Cabin Fever… But Make It Luxe

Our Snowy Girls Getaway in the Poconos for My Birthday

Theres nothing I love more than escaping the chaos of city life and trading it in for snow-dusted trees, oversized socks, and endless belly laughs with your girls. This year, I wanted my birthday to feel cozy, connected, and a little bit cabin-core—and the Poconos delivered exactly that.

We booked the cutest Airbnb: a modern wood cabin tucked in the woods, with just enough space to lounge, dance, cook, and play all the board games (Taboo got heated, let’s just say that). The fireplace was our weekend MVP, and the open-concept kitchen/living room made it feel like we were starring in our own cozy rom-com.

The Vibes

Think: satin pajamas, warm socks, no makeup, wine glasses in hand, candles lit, balloons floating, and R&B playing softly in the background. We kicked things off with a birthday pajama game night, popped a few bottles (and by bottles i mean Spindrift, NA Wine and Mushroom Cocktails) , and kept things lowkey but filled with so much love.

The Cabin

With forest views from every window and a living room that made us feel like we were inside a Pinterest board, this spot was chef’s kiss. The neutral tones, the soft lighting, and that brick fireplace? A whole mood. Mornings were for slow coffee and soft playlists, and evenings were all about wine, comfort food, and girly chats that turned into therapy sessions.

The Food

We kept the meals easy but cute—think brunch spreads, pasta nights, and birthday treats (yes, I made a wish and yes, it was a juicy one). And let’s not forget the matcha lattes and late-night snacks while half-asleep watching reruns.

Turning a Year Wiser

This trip was more than a birthday—it was a reset. A pause. A moment to soak up love from my chosen family, sip slow, laugh hard, and reflect on how far I’ve come. From deep convos in fuzzy socks to random dance breaks in the kitchen, every moment reminded me that joy doesn’t always have to be loud. Sometimes, it’s found in stillness, in laughter echoing off cabin walls, in soft snow falling outside while your soul feels full inside.

What I’m Taking With Me

This year, I’m claiming softness, intentionality, and experiences that feel good. No forced energy. No settling. Just cozy luxury, real connection, and choosing joy, over and over again.

Would 1000% recommend this cabin if you’re craving a cute winter escape. And if you can do it with your favorite girls? Even better.
